MacCallum – Malcolm Society of North America

there is a "clan" of MacCallums here in the us that are dedicated to the history of MacCallums.....fascinating reading....

Most interesting is their “history page” that details 7 MacCallums from centuries ago, as well as more history including pics of Duntrune Castle (below).

Ive seen this logo on stuff MacCallum, but Im not sure what it means other than maybe a reference to the   Duntrune Castle
clan1

It talks about how the family got the name from St Columba

There is also a Malcom reference, and note their shield is the same as the MacCallum shield

Duntrune

And also very interesting, there is a castle, that appears to be the current home of some MacCallums (according to the article).   I especially love the entrance and the animal on each side of the entrance pictured.

Castle Duntrune was bought by Neil Malcolm, Twelfth Laird of Poltalloch in 1792. It is the current home of the chiefs of Clan MacCallum/Malcolm. It is claimed that Duntrune is the oldest, continuously inhabited building in Scotland.
Duntrune overlooks Loch Crinan from its northern shore and is directly across the Loch from the west entrance to the Crinan Canal.
The castle is not opened to the public and is the family home of the current Chief and his family.
Some additional information about the castle is available on the Kilmartin House Home Page reference to Duntroon. A collection of pictures can be found on the Clan Society's Duntrune page.

I don’t follow the gallery, or add-to-cart, but the below appears to be a stone version of the McCollum family crest.
There appear to be more side by side, so I wonder where exactly this is.   Is it old?   Or a reproduction?   Hmmm.

Not sure what the first thing is, maybe a headstone.

This is a serious group, called the Clan MacCallum – Malcolm Society of North America, Inc.
And they pay dues to be a member.  I even see “dna study” on this page.
Hmmm.   I suppose the colors below is the tartan.
