MacCallum – Malcolm Society of North Americathere is a "clan" of MacCallums here in the us that are dedicated to the history of MacCallums.....fascinating reading....
Most interesting is their “history page” that details 7 MacCallums from centuries ago, as well as more history including pics of Duntrune Castle (below). Ive seen this logo on stuff MacCallum, but Im not sure what it means other than maybe a reference to the Duntrune Castle It talks about how the family got the name from St Columba There is also a Malcom reference, and note their shield is the same as the MacCallum shield
DuntruneAnd also very interesting, there is a castle, that appears to be the current home of some MacCallums (according to the article). I especially love the entrance and the animal on each side of the entrance pictured. Castle Duntrune was bought by Neil Malcolm, Twelfth Laird of Poltalloch in 1792. It is the current home of the chiefs of Clan MacCallum/Malcolm. It is claimed that Duntrune is the oldest, continuously inhabited building in Scotland.
They have quarterly newsletters, names the Argent Castle
I don’t follow the gallery, or add-to-cart, but the below appears to be a stone version of the McCollum family crest. Not sure what the first thing is, maybe a headstone.
This is a serious group, called the Clan MacCallum – Malcolm Society of North America, Inc.
